Type: Grand Banks Eastbay 38 HTEX

Introduced in 1994, the Eastbay 38 Express launched Grand Banks in a completely new direction.

First in a rapidly evolving series of Eastbay yachts whose classic ‘Downeast’ lines and Hunt-designed hulls were a departure from Grand Banks previous trawler heritage, over 130 of the 38’s were built. This is the HTEX model with hardtop and semi-enclosed helm deck.

The quality and care with which the Eastbay 38 was constructed is clearly evident from her varnished teak toe-rails to her finely finished interior. Stepping up from the large cockpit, the 38’s expansive helm deck includes a bench seat and teak table to port and a bench seat at the helm. Forward, the main cabin features a full-service galley to port and convertible U-shaped seating opposite. The shower is located to port and the heads to starboard, then forward to the master stateroom with V-berths.

Accessing the engine room is made easy with the assistance of power-assist deck hatch. All decks and walkways are laid in teak, however these are quite worn and will require attention, hence the reduced price.
