Type: 45ft Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter
Designer: Cockwells | Replica of the Pilot Cutter, Peggy
We created this faithful replica from the original boat’s scantlings using a similar method of construction but with two exceptions.
We broke with tradition and selected bronze over iron for the fixings and crafted the deck from two layers of marine plywood sheathed in epoxy and glass overlaid with 10mm teak, to effectively imbue a traditional hull with the benefits of a modern deck system.
Polly Agatha spectacularly combines the traditional lines of a pilot cutter with up-to-date technology and a luxurious interior hewn from English oak.
Her spacious accommodation includes ten berths, two heads, a large galley, a navigation area and all the modern conveniences required to license her as a sea school.
